When he was on The View this morning, Joe Scarborough gave a firm “no, no” on whether he would run for president in 2016. But pressed on the issue by Hugh Hewitt on his radio show later in the day, Scarborough admitted he “won’t rule anything out” for the time being.
After joking a bit about teaming up for a killer 2016 ticket, Scarborough told Hewitt his “obsession” right now is “getting the Republican party back in the White House,” because, he argued, the country “can’t afford” eight more years of Democrats in the White House and having a hold the Supreme Court.
Hewitt asked Scarborough directly if he is completely ruling out a 2016 run. Scarborough said, “No, I won’t rule anything out.” He talked about how much he enjoyed his time in the House, and while he “had to get out” to raise his kids, “I’ve always said I wanted to get back in, it’s just a matter of time and we’ll see what happens.”
