Malaysia: Muslim group calls for action against politician for criticizing anti-Valentine's Day fatwa

Under Sharia, no dissenting voices are allowed. This is the sinister agenda behind “Islamophobia” campaigns in the West: to stigmatize and rule out of acceptable discourse even the slightest critical word about Sharia and even about jihad terror. With the willing compliance of the mainstream media, this campaign is well on its way to attaining its goals of silencing all criticism of Islam.

“Tony Pua Ticked Off For Chiding Fatwa On Valentine’s Day,” from Bernama, February 18 (thanks to Twostellas):

SHAH ALAM, Feb 18 (Bernama)

Selangor Perkasa has called for action to be taken against Selangor DAP chairman Tony Pua for allegedly chiding the National Fatwa Council’s edict forbidding Muslims from celebrating the Valentine’s Day, recently.

Its president, Abu Bakar Yahya said Pua’s remarks posted on his blog and Facebook were provocative as they could enrage Muslims.

“We cannot remain silent as Pua has insulted Muslims and his remarks might undermine harmony,” he told reporters after lodging a police report against Pua over the remarks at the Shah Alam police headquarters here today.

Abu Bakar said Pua not only rebuked the council for declaring the Valentine’s Day as haram (forbidden) but also ridiculed the Islamic Development Department.

“We hope Pua will not interfere in Islamic matters as we should respect each other religion,” he added.

Sharia in action in the UK: Man charged for ripping pages of Qur’an at soccer match

If Mark Stephenson had torn and thrown pages of the Bible, would he be charged? Or have the British authorities simply taken it upon themselves to prosecute violators of Sharia blasphemy laws? In light of the fact that they have charged Stephenson and banned Pamela Geller and me from entering the country, it is all the more imperative that they free Mohamed Jamal Miah and every other Muslim who is in prison in the UK immediately for doing something that would be taken for granted as acceptable behavior back home. David Cameron needs to end this Islamophobic inconsistency, get that cross off the flag, and declare Britain a fully Sharia-compliant state forthwith. It’s long overdue.
An update on this story. “Man charged after ‘Koran ripped up at football match,’” from the BBC, February 8 (thanks to John):
A man has been charged after pages were allegedly torn from the Koran and thrown during a football match.
Police said the incident happened on 7 December at a game between Birmingham City and Middlesbrough at St Andrews.
Mark Stephenson, 25, from Napoleon Drive, Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury, has been charged with causing racial or religiously-aggravated harassment.
He will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on 28 February.
