Sports Anchor Blasts Michael Sam Critics, Calls Out Conservative Hypocrisy

Michael Sam coming out of the closet actually may have been a setback for his potential NFL career, according to some NFL officials who spoke anonymously to Sports Illustrated. On Monday night, WFAA sports anchor Dale Hansen stood up for Sam in a big way with a speech that called out not just the NFL’s fluctuating moralism, but the hypocrisy of those who profess to be for small government.

Hansen mocked the idea that having a gay player in the locker room would somehow make people uncomfortable, when, quite frankly, people with infinitely more questionable moral values still walk among them.

“You beat a woman and drag her down a flight of stairs, pulling her hair out by the roots? You’re the fourth guy taken in the NFL draft. You kill people while driving drunk? That guy’s welcome. Players caught in hotel rooms with illegal drugs and prostitutes, we know they’re welcome! Players accused of rape and pay the women to go away, you lie to police, try to cover up a murder, we’re comfortable with that. You love another man? Well, now you’ve gone too far."

He went on to decry the hypocrisy of people who “say government should stay out of our lives, but then want government in our bedrooms,” and reminded viewers that once upon a time, people used to think black players would make people uncomfortable.

Coulter: Defending Clinton for Years Shows Feminists Aggressive Hypocrisy and Tyranny

Ann Coulter faced off yet again with Piers Morgan on Tuesday night, this time over the “Hillary papers” and whether it’s fair to judge a woman on the sins of her husband. What Coulter found more interesting was the feminist “hypocrisy” inherent in defending Bill Clinton‘s transgressions, whilst decrying the War on Women on the right. She also pointed to practically every questionable Democrat in the last few years, from John Edwards to Bob Filner to Eliot Spitzer to Anthony Weiner.

On the Hillary Clinton papers, Coulter said none of this is really that surprising, except maybe to “diehard Clinton supporters.” Morgan wondered why the former president’s indiscretions should have any impact on his wife’s potential presidential run. Coulter responded, “It’s undermining this entire idea of the Republican War on Women.”

She mockingly said NOW’s stance is “you get one free grope,” decrying “the utter aggressive hypocrisy and tyranny of the feminist movement” in how much it’s twisted and contorted to defend Clinton. Coulter explained the new rule is they don’t go after a man who took advantage of a young woman in the workplace “if it’s someone we like because he’s protecting abortion rights.”
