Egyptian TV play depicts Mossad agents scheming for world domination, engineering Arab Spring

The Muslim Brotherhood has been driven from power for now, but that doesn’t mean that everyone in the corridors of power in Egypt is now a Western-style pluralist “moderate.” This bizarre and ugly TV play gives full vent to Islamic antisemitism, abundantly (and risibly — I love the part where they start shouting “Long live Israel” in a patent imitation of Muslim hordes screaming “Allahu akbar”) expressing the Qur’anic view that the Jews are “the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers” (5:82).

“Antisemitic Egyptian Play on TV: Mossad Agents behind Arab Spring,” from MEMRI, n.d.:

A play titled “The Spy,” recently aired on the Egyptian Al-Hayat TV channel, displays antisemitic stereotypes and portrays Mossad officials preparing “for a huge operation of espionage and sowing disunity” which targets the entire Arab world.

Following are excerpts from the play, broadcast on January 31, 2014:

Mossad headquarters, Mossad officials listen to an Israeli child singing Umm Kulthum’s Enta Omri. All male Mossad officials are named Binyamin and listed here according to their seating from left to right.

All Mossad officials: How great…

Binyamin I: What’s wrong with you, Binyamin?

Binyamin V: Binyamin, why do you cry whenever you hear this song?

Binyamin III: To tell the truth, I don’t understand a word of the song.

Binyamin I: Ummu Kulthum’s song, Enta Omri, is very beautiful.

Binyamin II: Just beautiful?! That boy Elisha sings it better than Umm Kulthum herself.

Female Mossad official: Binyamin, do you think that the Egyptians stole this tune from us, or vice versa?

Binyamin III: They stole it from us, of course – just like they stole the pyramids and the Sphynx [sic].[...]

Note the projection. Islam, the last of the Abrahamic religions, appropriates Abraham himself as “not a Jew or Christian, but a Muslim” (Qur’an 3:67) and seizes the holy sites of both religions (cf. the Temple Mount and the Hagia Sophia). And now Egyptian TV depicts a Jew claiming the pyramids and Sphinx belonged to the Jews and were stolen by the Egyptians. (Jewish slaves may have helped construct them, in any case.)

Anyway, here comes more projection from adherents of a religion whose prophet is depicted in a hadith as saying: “I have been commanded to fight against people until they confess that there is no god but Allah and I am his messenger”:

Our perspective is a simple and humble one. All we want is to control the whole world. Long live Israel!

Mossad officials: Long live Israel!

Binyamin III: Long live Israel!

Mossad officials: Long live Israel!

Binyamin III: Long live Israel!

Mossad officials: Long live Israel!

Binyamin III: Long live Israel!

Mossad officials: Long live Israel!

All Mossad officials break out in dance to the tune of Hava Nagila

Binyamin III: Lady, take your son and go away. We are preparing for a huge operation of espionage and sowing disunity, and we don’t want anyone to know anything about it – not its target nor its location.

Mother of Ezra (a would-be Mossad operative): Where will it take place?

Binyamin III: In Egypt, God willing.

Ezra: And what is the target?

Binyamin III: The entire Arab world.

Binyamin IV: I don’t understand, Binyamin #5, how come you are accepting this boy back into the Mossad so easily.

Binyamin III: If we don’t, he will stand opposite the Mossad headquarters, and throw stones on us. He is mentally retarded.

Binyamin V: You’re right, but let’s focus on what’s important – today begins the most important of the Arab Spring revolutions.

Binyamin I: I’ve heard that it is still a demonstration. It hasn’t transformed into a revolution yet.

Binyamin III: That’s why we need to keep an eye on that demonstration.

Binyamin V: Eyes are a thing of the past. Today, we know what is going on from Facebook and Twitter.

Binyamin II: We know everything but the color of their underwear…

They all burst into laughter

Binyamin I: Would you believe that they still have signs on buildings: “Keep Away” and “No Photography”?

They all burst into laughter

Binyamin III: Google Earth gives us all the information we need.

Binyamin IV: The most important thing that we need to know is whether the demonstrations are taking place only in Tahrir Square, or in other places as well.

Binyamin II: Right now, they are only in Tahrir Square, but soon enough, they’ll spread all over. After all, the Egyptian people is demanding change…

Study shows that Christians are world's most oppressed religious group

“Islamophobia”-mongers such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Reza Aslan’s Aslan Media, the Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, and the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) hardest hit. If the mainstream media were not as thoroughly corrupt and compromised as it is, it would pick up on this and stop furthering the Islamic supremacist line that the truth about Islamic jihad violence must be told for fear of increasing the victimization of innocent Muslims. No innocent people of any creed should ever be victimized; but it is actually the world’s Christians who are bearing the brunt of religion-based attacks.
“Pew Study: Christians Are The World’s Most Oppressed Religious Group,” by Barbara Boland for CNS News, February 6 (thanks to Mackie):
Restrictions, harassment, and intimidation towards people who practice their religion increased in every major region of the world in 2012 except the Americas, with Christians the major target, says a new report by the Pew Research Center.

Sea Level Rise Could Reduce The World Economy By 10 Percent This Century

Flood hits a Bangkok airport in 2011. New research predicts that by 2100, damage from flooding and rising seas could cost the world almost a tenth of its economy.
The paper, by researchers at the University of Southampton, modeled the economic effects of future sea level rise, using various projections from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of future carbon emissions and global warming, along with various models of future economic growth, population growth, and population movement.
According to the IPCC’s projections, sea level will rise 25 to 123 centimeters, depending on whether humanity does a lot to tackle climate change or just coasts along with business-as-usual. Using those models, the researchers concluded 0.2 to 4.6 percent of the world’s population will be flooded annually by the end of the century, resulting in annual losses of 0.3 to 9.3 percent of global GDP.
For reference, 5 percent of the world’s population in 2100 could mean 600 million people many of whom will live in deeply impoverished regions like southern Asia. As for GDP, 9.3 percent of that could be over $100 trillion.
The researchers also looked into scenarios in which people around the world attempt to protect themselves and their coasts by expanding dikes, levees, and other protection systems. The paper concludes such efforts could reduce the damage from flooding by two or three orders of magnitude, at a cost of $71 billion per year under the most demanding circumstances.

It’s been nearly 10 years since college students first opened their Facebook profiles. And in that time, it has expanded out of college dorms nationwide to a multi-billion dollar juggernaut that connects everything in everyday life.
