Comcast is planning a bid to acquire competitor Time Warner Cable that will be announced Thursday morning. If the merger goes through, it will mean a union between the top two cable companies in the country.
The deal is reportedly going to be for roughly $44 million, paying about $159 a share. Charter Communications, a smaller cable company, had also been making a bid for Time Warner.
Now the only question is if the merger will actually go through without the government stepping in to block it.
