Fusion Reporter Says Interviewing Zimmerman Was Like Talking to Charles Manson

George Zimmerman sat down for a number of interviews this week, one with Fusion’s Derrick Ashong. After the interview, Ashong penned an online column acknowledging he is not impartial on the case and why he wanted to do the interview anyway.

Not only does Ashlong think Zimmerman “got away with murder,” he said that Zimmerman “should not be walking free,” and if he had his druthers, ZImmerman wouldn’t be doing interviews.

Which begs the question: why, then, did Ashlong interview Zimmerman in the first place? Because, he says, he doesn’t think the story is over, and really wanted to know if Zimmerman truly had any remorse for what he’d done.

“I interviewed George Zimmerman for the same reasons journalists have interviewed Charles Manson, that Barbara Walters interviewed Muammar Ghaddafi and Fidel Castro. I sat down across from him and politely asked the questions I wanted answers to. And maybe I simply wanted to look in the eyes of the killer and see if I could perceive an ounce of remorse. I found none. Instead, I saw a man convinced that indeed, he is the victim. And, perhaps, even a hero.”

DMX May Not Get the Chance to Beat the Living F*ck Out of Zimmerman

It was a project doomed from the start. Earlier this week, TMZ began dropping hints about a celebrity boxing match that would have pit acquitted murder defendant George Zimmerman against rapper DMX. Now, despite DMX’s promise to “beat the living fuck out” about of his potential opponent, it looks like he won’t have the chance.
On Saturday, the promoter of the boxing match, Damon Feldman, announced on Twitter that he has decided not to move forward with it.
The George Zimmerman fight is canceled I'm sorry for anyone I hurt with this but this was a very big opportunity thank you.
